Grappling with the weight of mourning her beloved grandmother, a young filmmaker travels to changing Europe to present her film, and the trip becomes an introspective odyssey in which she confronts the intersection of her grief, the uncertainties of her career, and the pressure from her family to conform. Amidst the confusion, a fleeting romantic affair with a fellow traveler adds a layer of complexity. 

Remy Ryumugabe is an award-winning Rwandan filmmaker and visual artist whose work has been exhibited at different international film festivals and galleries, including Internationale Kurzfilmtage Winterthur, Uppsala International Short Film Festival, Fribourg International Film Festival, Oberhausen International Short Film Festival, Galerie Imane Farès, Museum Hilversum, and Goethe-Institut Kigali, among others. His work have earned some awards, including the Jury Special Mention at the Uppsala International Short Film Festival, Best Experimental Film at the Festival Internacional de Cine Africano de Argentina, Best Male Director at the Urusaro International Women Film Festival, Jury Special Mention at Luxor African Film Festival, Jury Special Mention at Festival International du Cinéma Africain Khouribga, the Young African Filmmakers’ Award at the Afrika Filmfestival Leuven and a grantee of the Goethe-Institut Kigali Artistic Call project 2024. As a producer, he has worked on acclaimed films such as Imuhira (Locarno, BFI London) and Minimals in the Titanic World, which premiered at Berlinale Forum 2025. He is also developing photography and audiovisual projects that have participated in development platforms like Ouaga Producers Lab, Takmil, Yaoundé Film Lab, and Résidence Moulin d'Andé. A Berlinale Talents alumnus (2025), he co-founded KIRURI MFN, co-initiator and curator of the 250 Ciné-Club, and Artistic Director of KAZI Productions.
