The title of this film explains everything. It is literally about an egg who after a minor incident - they dropped a plant - begins to have dark thoughts. The egg's problem is trivial, simple, unimportant and yet they cannot see it as anything other than the end of the world. The power of mental illness is in this awesome potential to trigger rhizomatic feelings, ideas and memories from a despondent, possibly insignificant, triggering event, which can spiral out of control. This film visualises the spiral, the back and forth between mind and consciousness though an adorable egg. It mixes 3D animation with live action and no actual dialogue to create an experience of depression.
I have used my time living in 3 continents, working on every type of medium (television, film, social media) to tell stories of modern existence. I am an Indian filmmaker based in Paris, with graduate and postgraduate degrees from University of Southern California, Columbia University (New York) and Paris XII. I currently divide my time between working in post-production across a wide range of content, directing short-form food documentaries, and developing my first feature.
