The ghosts of our labor and our mechanicalized bodies haunt us. Appearing to us as reflections of nature, memory, and material conditions that loom above us fused within a powerful alien world of objects we created. The capitalist torments us, and our only hope can be found in the transformation of our eerie ghosts into our partners in crime. An extension of past research into ghosts and our future gloom embodied in toxic cyanobacteria and algae blooms, this performance brings together ancestral stories spoken from within pockets of past, future, and present time, interpreted through musical song using instruments such as the banjo and voice processed through noise and computer algorithms.
