Agata Zięba - violaAgata was born in Krakow, Poland. She studied viola as well as music theory at the music university of the same place and accomplished both diplomas with distinction. She continued her professional training with Prof. Andra Darzins at HMDK Stuttgart, where she completed her Master’s degree in 2011. Furthermore, she followed a specialized course in Contemporary Music which she completed in 2013. In 2008 she has been a price winning artist at the well renowned Radowski competition in Poland.Since 2012 she is solo violist at the opera Bialystok, since 2014 she is a violist in the Philharmonie Baden-Baden. Additionally, she plays new and experimental music with the Ensembles SKAM, Crossart and Brax. Together with these ensembles she has premiered numerous works by Sascha Dragićević, Laura Manolache, Matthias Kaul, Ricardo Nillni, Remmy Canedo, Sophie Pope, Nikola Lutz, Biagio Putignano and others. She recently recorded chamber music for Biagio Putignano’s portrait CD “Lob der Musik” which appears in autumn 2019 on the Label Ambiente Audio.
