Do-Won Yu

Do-Won Yu graduated from Seoul National University, then completed the Master of Music in composition and Sonology Course at The Royal Conservatory of the Hague (NL), and then another Master study at Royal Holloway, University of London (UK). After that, he graduated Konzertexamen in composition at Hochschule für Musik Franz Liszt Weimar (DE). His works were performed in many festivals such as 2012 ISCM World New Music Days in Belgium, XI. Weimarer Fruehjahrstage fuer zeitgenossische Musik, 1. Saarbrücker Tage für elektroakustische und visuelle Musik (2014), Seoul Philharmonic Ars Nova (2018), ICMC 2018 (International Computer Music Conference) and etc. He now teaches at several universities in Korea.

The sound materials of Musique concrète I & II came from door, keys, snack cans and beer bottles which I found around my house. The video shows psychologically distort image of sound materials that I mentioned above.
