Tercera Práctica / One Sound Fills The Sky [AV concert]

“One sound fills the skyOne SoundOne SoundOne Sound

From Pauline Oliveros: Six for New Time (1999)

Distorted electric guitar riffs, oscillating clarinet tones and pulsating electronic beats - Tercera Práctica presents its new multimedia concert ONE SOUND FILLS THE SKY.At the heart of the program are compositions by American composer Pauline Oliveros, who is considered a pioneer of electronic music in the 20th century. Her unique text based compositions leave a lot of creative freedom, and invite both the musicians and the audience to open their ears to new kinds of sonic perceptions. Furthermore, the collective performs works by contemporary electro-acoustic composers: Sungji Hong, Robert Menczel, Sarah Nemtsov, Matias Rosales and a world premiere by Nicolás Kliwadenko.Tercera Práctica breaks with conventional concert rituals and stages its program as a continuous flow, with gradual transitions and immersive live-visuals, combining an experimental sound language with club atmosphere. ONE SOUND FILLS THE SKY offers a creative perspective on a contemporary concert and invites the audience to discover new facets of listening. A production by Sonderklang e.V. in cooperation with zeug und quer e.V. Freiburg, M33 Strasbourg, SCHOPF 2 Freiburg and IDKF Stuttgart.
